This handmade dragonfly collection takes inspiration from that fleeting quality of dragonflies in nature. Rather than recreating the insect through rigid lines, the design focuses on its elongated wing structure, lightness, translucent appearance, and the subtle shifts of color that appear as the wings move through sunlight.

Fine 100% silk threads are carefully prepared and shaped by hand using techniques inspired by traditional Ronghua craft. The four wings are individually formed and arranged around the slender body, preserving the open, balanced silhouette characteristic of a dragonfly in flight.

The collection is available in five color variations: Blue-Purple, Green, Pink, Red, and Black-Gold.

💙💜 Blue-Purple moves between cool blue and violet, creating a quiet iridescent effect reminiscent of reflected light near water.

💚 Green carries fresh yellow-green and soft botanical tones, connecting the dragonfly with leaves, moss, and summer landscapes.

🌿 Material

The dragonfly wings are primarily handcrafted from 100% silk thread, using techniques inspired by traditional Ronghua craft.

Fine silk fibers create a soft, delicate surface with a natural sheen. Under different lighting and viewing angles, the wings can reveal subtle variations in brightness and tone, giving the dragonfly a sense of movement even when still.

Each wing is individually prepared, shaped, and refined by hand before being assembled with the dragonfly body and decorative details.

Depending on the selected style, the dragonfly may be paired with a metal brooch structure, hairpin, hair clip, or other suitable hair accessory structure.

The finished piece exists both as jewelry and as a small handmade nature-inspired art collectible.

✋ Handmade Process

🧵 01 | Silk Thread Preparation

Fine silk threads are selected and carefully prepared according to the color and visual character of each dragonfly design.

The fibers are handled gradually to preserve their soft texture and natural reflective quality.

 🌸02 | Individual Wing Shaping

Each of the four elongated wings is shaped separately by hand.

Their length, width, curve, and opening angle are individually adjusted to recreate the light and balanced structure of a dragonfly rather than producing four mechanically identical forms.

🎨 03 | Color & Layer Adjustment

The silk surface is refined according to each color variation, allowing blue-purple, green, pink, red, or black-gold tones to interact differently with light.

The direction and layering of the silk fibers are also carefully adjusted to preserve the soft luminous quality of the wings.

🌿 04 | Dragonfly Assembly

Once the wings are complete, they are arranged around the body one by one.

Their direction, spacing, opening angle, and proportion are adjusted to create a natural sense of balance and movement.

The body and decorative details are then assembled to complete the three-dimensional dragonfly form.

✨ 05 | Final Detail Refinement

Wing angles, symmetry, body proportions, surface details, and the balance between the dragonfly and its accessory structure are carefully refined by hand.

Because each piece is individually handcrafted, slight variations in wing angle, silk texture, color reflection, and small structural details will naturally occur.

These differences are part of the handmade character of each dragonfly.
